Dual Durometer Keypads
Gain desirable ergonomic switch features with a Dual Durometer keypad.
Choose from a wide range of PMS colors for the individually molded, high durometer silicone rubber keytops and silk screened legends. Typical hardness of the keytops range from 65 to 80 shore A durometer. With base silicone materials of 50 durometer, the keypad maintains long life and a broad spectrum of tactile feel.
Some keyboard designs with limited space in the X-Y plain use a harder durometer keytop to overcome potential difficulty with key actuation. A dual durometer keypad may not be the best solution. Please contact us for guidelines on bezel-keypad interface before your design is complete.
